JENNIFER ANTKOWIAK BIO
People in the Pittsburgh region know Jennifer Antkowiak from her 23-year career as a trusted, beloved, award-winning television news anchor and reporter; covering major stories that impacted our lives. She is also a mom of five who stepped out in faith to transition to a life outside of news as her children grew, and she wanted to create more time for family. Jennifer is now a wellness educator, with a passion for helping people take better care of themselves. She was a primary caregiver for her in-laws, who died of cancer, and that journey opened her eyes to the blessings and burdens of taking care of others. She's written books that focus on easy, manageable self-care strategies, created a website that provides self-care support (www.TakeCareTips.com), and does a variety of talks, workshops, retreats, and keynote presentations related to the importance of self-care; including CEU presentations for nurses, social workers, and nursing home administrators, as well as corporate wellness coaching programs. Jennifer is also an adjunct professor at Saint Vincent College, where she teaches business and communications courses, and she has been recognized as an expert in wellness and healing, and appointed to the Church Healing Commission for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.
